I just got a very happy phone call: MY DRESS IS READY FOR ME TO PICK UP!!!! Ok, enough caps. I’m excited. I ordered it on February 16… today is… February 24… that’s less than 10 days… I was nervously anticipating 10 weeks, I was terrified it wouldn’t come in on time for the wedding in May.
That being said I am so grateful to Amber at the local Alfred Angelo who was SO HELPFUL, and really wonderful to work with (usually I want to beat sales women with sticks, Amber I did not mind). I would have NO problem recommending Alfred Angelo to anyone who is getting married (although I would strongly encourage investigating elopement first).
I’m going to go pick up the dress later tonight. I’m a little nervous, I hope it fits. If it fits anywhere near as well as the one I tried on then I’m in luck. The one I tried on fit perfectly (but it was ivory… and the showroom sample…).

I just got back from picking up my dress. It fits perfectly. It looks great. Now I just need to find a place to put it until the big day. Heidi is not home, I can make space in her closet… she’ll never need to know.
