Gavin & Kindli are excited to announce the newest member of their family will be arriving in mid-February. Right now, our gender-unknown little one is being affectionately referred to as “the Pudge” (sort of like the anonymous, very brilliant, Stig on Top Gear).

To answer all the questions we’ve been inundated with, we’ve given the Pudge it’s own tab on our website, and created an FAQ. The Pudge’s tab will be periodically updated through out the process, and you can track it’s process with the baby tracker at the top of the page.

Exciting Milestones in the Pudge’s Existence

9.4.08 heard the Pudge’s heart beat again, more excitement. Pudge is meeting it’s growth requirements, 16 cm. womb at 16 weeks.

9.23.08 the Pudge continues to meet it’s growth requirements, and I am almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Thrilling news that.

10.2.08 the Pudge circulates a video for It’s Presidential Campaign the only set back is, it won’t be born in time for the November elections.

10.20.08 Child birth classes start, the sample “baby” has a lovely felted placenta.

10.23.08 the Pudge meets it’s growth expectations yet again and continues to exhibit Expansionist Tendencies.

11.18.08  the Pudge continues to meet it’s growth expectations, and refuses to stay still to have it’s heartbeat listened to.

With regards to gifting things on The Pudge: Please check to make sure the items/products contain NO alcohol or latex.  Also, we have a small town house, so there is no need for “decorations” for the nursery (we’ll be lucky if we can fit a baby in there). We also don’t know the baby’s gender just yet (we’re waiting until February, you can wait too).

Q: What I can I/we make for the Pudge?

A: If you really want to make the Pudge something, please keep in mind the Pudge is gender-unknown, please choose your color selections accordingly (please no baby-pastels). Several friends are already planning to make baby blankets, quilts and hats.

Q: What can I/we buy for the Pudge?

A: If you really, really want to buy the Pudge something, we have an Amazon.com Baby Registry. It’s all stuff we plan to buy anyway, and of course, a variety of baby clothing in all sizes. Please NO toys/ books/ games/ stuffed animals (the Mothers have been stockpiling for the last 25 years for this very occasion).

I’m sure you have a question that was not answered here. There are lots of questions we don’t have answers to just yet.
